Join our team and bring your best self to the table.Lead associates in a specific shift/area while supervising warehouse operations to ensure functions are performed within Company Distribution Center and Union guidelines. Provide excellent customer service to stores serviced through accurate handling of inbound and outbound product.The position will be based in Brea, CA.Main responsibilities:Coach and engage hourly associates towards high productivity, safety, and quality performanceDevelop and demonstrate effective leadership skills and tactics during day to day operationMotivate associates through positive reinforcement and behaviorPromote a safety culture by example, observation feedback and associate relationsCoordinate with peer leaders to balance the workflow of the Distribution CenterWalk the warehouse on a regular basis throughout the shift to ensure compliance on sanitation and quality expectationsMaintain visibility to associates in support of the Company Open Door PolicyLeverage technology systems to investigate operational issuesCoordinate the weekly associate work scheduleMaintain open and constant communication with the Transportation Department to facilitate inbound/outbound flow of productCoordinate with other cross functional departments (Inventory Control, Procurement, Building & Facilities)The salary range is $70,000 to $85,000. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include lead person, foreman, or supervisory duties.Ability to supervise and work with and through others to achieve desired results.Possess great communication skills.General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office, helpful.Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.Requires analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions in a fast paced work environment.Physical environment:Most work is performed under typical warehouse conditions.During part of the workday the incumbent may move about the Distribution Center including, the yard, garage and warehouse. Potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between 20 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas.Incumbent may sit for periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.Incumbent may stand or walk about the Distribution Center for periods of time.Incumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of the workday.Must be flexible on work hours and shifts.
