Machine Builder

As a machine builder, you will specialize in assembling various machine models in a market supplying 40.9 billion dollars of automated packaging machinery worldwide to consumer-packaged goods needing to package their products as they come off their production line(s). We are looking for someone who has strong technical and mechanical assembly skills to build production worthy packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly work from drawings, schematics, work orders, specifications and instructions
• Test and verify proper operations of electrical and mechanical functions of assemblies, sub-assemblies, and machines
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are clean, organized and in good working condition to maximize efficiency
• Keep the supervisor informed of any delays, problems or unusual situations

Qualifications:

• Prior mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Ability to use typical mechanical and electrical hand/machine tools
• Read, interpret and assemble subassemblies and machinery to engineering drawings
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work in an efficient and safe manner
• Ability to work to the schedule to ensure flow of jobs as appropriate
• Capable of using basic inspection tooling, micrometers, and calipers
