PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Application build and support of Meditech (Client/Server) solutions for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as well as other clinical systems
  • Provides application implementation support, technical guidance, and serves as primary resolution point for all systems.
  • Works with complex workflows and workgroups, demonstrating knowledge of integrated workflows and applications as well as perform problem analysis to provide system solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Maintains and supports all enterprise imaging information systems, including PACS, voice recognition/reporting systems, and other advanced processing workstations/systems. Works closely with physicians, technologists, physicists, IT, clinicians, and other staff to control standards for imaging workstations.
  • Works collaboratively with end-users to understand workflows and develop system support, including analysis of business needs and user needs. Also works to translate into proper system requirement specifications and create documentation of requirements. Ensures the efficiency, stability, security and accessibility of all supported applications and to all supported users, their workflows/business processes according to industry best practices.
  • Analyzes new functionality in releases and/or updates to determine how it should be used, collaborating with end user community to support workflow and business processes.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and platforms.
  • Documents internal procedures to be used in conjunction with Meditech and other clinical systems
  • Provides Meditech training for physicians, clinicians and other users

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Nursing and/or Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics. Significant clinical background in lieu of nursing or bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in clinical informatics in hospital setting
  • Minimum of 2 years Meditech experience
