Foundry SpecialistThe Mapleton Foundry is looking to hire Foundry Specialists As a Foundry Specialist at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform a variety of manual and/or machine functions related to core making such as dipping, inspecting and assembling cores. You will also operate and/or lock out equipment to clean molding floor and reclaim or dispose of sand in basement levels.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Core box mountingMixing and testing core sandBolt threadingMolding functions such as preparing pouring basinsMold spraying, drying and/or ventingOperating punch-out and related equipmentFinishing functions such as riser breakingHand chipping and finningOperating shakeouts, stand and portable grindersAbility to operate powered industrial vehiclesMinimum Qualifications:One-year prior manufacturing work experienceAbility to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 poundsAbility to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shiftAbility to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipmentTop candidates will also have:Previous machine shop or foundry experienceComputer knowledgeVerbal and written communication skillsProblem solving and decision-makingMath skillsWhat You Will Get:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
