Now Hiring: Chief Technologist – Cytology (Direct Hire)White Plains Hospital | Montefiore Health SystemLocation: White Plains, NYWhite Plains Hospital is seeking an experienced Chief Technologist – Cytology to lead its Cytology department in a permanent, direct-hire role.Position Details:Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMGuaranteed Hours: 37.5/weekPosition Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Start date: Feb/Mar 2026Assignment Length: Permanent (36 months)Salary Range: $128,349 – $165,009Benefits: Full benefits package and retirement planInterview: OnsiteKey Responsibilities:Supervise Cytotechnologists, assign workload, and manage schedulesScreen gynecological, non-gynecological, and FNA specimensReview and present abnormal cytomorphology to PathologistsAssist physicians with FNA procedures and specimen collectionMaintain NYS DOH compliance records, statistics, and departmental documentationEnsure adherence to quality, regulatory, and reporting standards (Bethesda system)Requirements:Active NYS licensePrior supervisory experience requiredBachelor’s degree with ASCP Registry and/or Certified Cytology School degreeMinimum 3 years of cytology screening experienceThinPrep CertificationFlu vaccination required (no exemptions)
