  • 2x12s Sat and Sunday: 8:00 pm – 8:30 am

Salary Range: $28-38/hr (Dependent on experience; refer to career ladder/pay scale in files)

Certifications & Licenses Required:

Job Summary: As an MRI Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operating MRI Scanners and associated equipment with proficiency is key to success in this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviewing and verifying orders for each assigned patient
  • Properly identifying and assisting patients while explaining procedures
  • Preparing patients for procedures and obtaining medical histories
  • Administering IV contrast according to departmental protocols
  • Evaluating image quality and consulting with Radiologists when needed
  • Practicing proper sterile technique during invasive procedures
  • Ensuring radiation safety standards are followed
  • Operating radiology computer systems and maintaining work areas

Physical Requirements: This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts, including lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting are part of the normal operation, along with frequent stretching, bending, squatting, or kneeling.

Skills Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Active enrollment in an ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire
  • CPR certification required through AHA

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
