We are looking for incredibly passionate, bright innovators to join our team as we deliver game changing commercial products to space.As a Deputy Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving the success of our Spacecraft Programsfrom planning and execution to delivery. You'll help lead efforts across scheduling, budgeting, resource management, and proposal development, ensuring every element stays on track, on budget, and aligned with our financial goals. You'll collaborate with top-tier teams across supply chain, production operations, contracts, and scheduling to keep programs efficient, affordable, and mission-ready. If you're energized by meaningful work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excited to contribute to the future of space exploration, we want you on our team.Responsibilities include:Support development and execution of program schedules and budgetSupporting the management of program finances and accountingWorking with our ERP system as the key tool of tracking material orders and costsManaging long leads and suppliersManaging program risks (ID, mitigate, track)Serving as point of contact for government and other payload customers, and representing Firefly at conferences, reviews, and investor meetingsMeasuring and reporting program performanceNegotiating contracts, statements of work, etc.Qualifications:Required:BS in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering disciplineWell organized and an ability to leverage and quickly master model tools like Jira and Confluence, in addition to basic MS tools like word, excel and powerpoint5+ years of experience in program management, preferably on US government spacecraft contractsAbility to effectively work in a multi-discipline team and provide leadership, guidance, and insightExceptional communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated leadership abilitiesDemonstrated ability to track and improve program performance metricsDesired:Experience integrating payloads onto spacecraft or launch vehiclesExperience with supply chain managementExperience with proposal writing and business development effortsExperience with risk managementExperience using tools like Jira, Confluence, ERP systems, scheduling and finance databases, Power BIFirefly offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, parental leave, educational reimbursement, short term disability, and flexible PTO options.
