About the Opportunity: Hybrid or Remote: On-site Shift: Day Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch Setting: Behavioral health clinic Responsibilities: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for: Examining, diagnosing, treating, and evaluating clients and their families referred for psychiatric services Administering and interpreting projective tests Conferring with clients' relatives regarding illness and treatment Delivering comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for referred clients Providing ongoing psychiatric care and making appropriate dispositional recommendations Qualifications: Minimum of 1-year experience with dually diagnosed substance abuse and psychiatric patients Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Current New York State licensed Nurse Practitioner Strong medical/clinical understanding of healthcare Bilingual in English and Spanish Ability to foster positive working relationships in a multidisciplinary team Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to make critical clinical decisions independently Desired Skills: Experience in a fast-paced clinical setting Strong organizational skills Advanced proficiency in EMR systems Capability to participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning Proficiency in Spanish
