What You’ll Do

As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for generating and managing purchase orders with contract manufacturers based on demand forecasts and lead times. Other responsibilities include:

  • Manage production and transit lead times in system
  • Generate PO’s based on demand forecasts
  • Manage inventory levels by SKU and DC
  • Manage schedules by week, prioritizing CM shipping schedule based on change in business needs
  • Communicate material shortage or excess as necessary throughout the organization
  • Lead supply meetings with CM’s or internal teams for categories owned
  • Partner with Demand Planning, Sales, and Product Management to collectively make decisions that minimize the negative financial impact.
  • Achieve KPI’s (e.g. DOS, Supplier on-time delivery)


What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, sum-ifs, conditional formatting, lookups).
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to analyze situations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present ideas in an easy-to-understand engaging manner.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented; able to prioritize effectively.
  • Able to adapt to changing job requirements.
  • Able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Able to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments.
  • BA/BS degree plus 2+ years of supply chain experience or 5+ years of supply chain-related experience.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
