Job Title: Field Airborne Support Team Technician Sr A&P

Job Summary:

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Field Airborne Support Team Technician Sr A&P to join our team. As a key member of our Field Support Team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Product Support org.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform required AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
  2. Comply with advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
  3. Order and receive all tooling and materials needed to service the AOG aircraft. Arrange the shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
  4. Coordinate with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  5. Ensure that work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  6. Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one-on-one direct familiarization briefings with the customer during the road trip.
  7. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  8. Follow SOPs and JSAs/JRAs when operating GSE. Operate and supervise the use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  9. Coordinate with Line Service and FBO ops to schedule movement of aircraft and assist with movement of aircraft. Arrange the overhaul or repair of customer property and inspect/operate all interior installations and record discrepancies.
  10. Provide regular updates on aircraft status and all customer support activity to Field Service Rep and management.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required. 6 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance or servicing of large/mid-size aircraft to include 2 years experience on Corporate aircraft. Gulfstream aircraft experience preferred.
  2. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required. Other Ability to obtain a passport required.
  3. Formal training in the Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred. to include Flight Safety Maintenance initial training for specific models required. to support.
  4. Must possess a working knowledge of the company policies and procedures, Repair Station and QC Manual, pertinent process specs, and tech reference materials.
  5. Must possess a strong grasp of all aircraft avionics and mechanical systems and how they are related. Must possess the ability and understanding to comply with all system checkouts on an in-service aircraft.
  6. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
