Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the administration of estates.
  • Handle the preparation of probate documents and miscellaneous court documents relating to probate court administration of estates and trusts.
  • Communicate (in person, by telephone and in writing) with clients to obtain information required for probate and estate administration
  • Prepare and transmit all necessary papers to transfer securities.
  • Prepare and file claims for insurance proceeds and death benefits.
  • Prepare and allow accounts in the probate court; preparation of trust accountings.
  • Prepare of federal and state estate tax returns.
  • Open and close estate accounts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Trust & Estates Paralegal required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and critical thinking skills required.
