The incumbent is responsible for serving food and beverage to our guests to create an exceptional guest experience. They are to provide the highest level of service in support of the company's mission, core values, standards, and goals.Core ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:Greet and interact with internal and external guests in a genuinely warm and friendly manner using professional and Kessler standard nomenclatureOperate the telephone system, answering calls within three (3) rings, using the correct salutation and telephone etiquetteMaintain the integrity of the guests' privacy, including confidentiality of personal information and key controlMaintain the integrity of the Company proprietary information and protect Company assetsMaintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, beer, liquor, and wineClears and resets counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.Assists dining room servers in the food and beverage service set tables serves guests as directed by the server, keeps menus clean, the clean table between servings, menu knowledge.Assists with providing tables with beverages.Removes solid linens and replaces them with clean linen.Transports dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.Polish silver and glass as needed.Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and beverage.Seat guests in the dining roomExplain, pair and recommend wine from the wine listServe food and beverage in a genuine, friendly, professional, and efficient manner consistent with the Kessler image and standardsRelays orders to kitchen through POS and helps serve courses from kitchen and service barsTotal's bill and accepts paymentProficiently utilizes the property management systems and follow cash handling proceduresSets up bar & dining room in a thorough and swift mannerSets up dining room when needed in a thorough and swift mannerComplete opening and closing procedures as well as daily side-workInventory and restock supplies as neededMaintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, property management systems, and access according to specificationsMaintain a neat and organized work area to include adhering to sanitation standards according to state law and health codesMaintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and proceduresMaintain neat, clean, and professional appearance according to standardsFollow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditionsWelcome and acknowledge guests with disabilities and follow proper procedures to accommodate needs.Develop and maintain a positive working relationship and support the team to achieve our goalsAttend required training and meetingsAll other duties as assigned, planned or un-plannedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAchieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility.
