Daydreamer is hiring a Designer for Apparel


Responsibilities

  • Design of our collection including cut-n-sew, garment dye knits, tees, fleece, pants, graphic tees and solid fashion basics
  • Trend research
  • Design direction seasonally and for projects
  • Product Development
  • Sourcing fabrics, washes, trims
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and find new ones when necessary
  • Extensive knowledge of garment dye, graphic tees
  • Design new silhouettes
  • Manage Patternmaker and sample room
  • Color palette development, lab dips, corrections, ink colors
  • Maintain strict deadlines
  • Communicate effectively
  • Merchandising
  • Cads and presentations


Qualifications

  • 5 years experience minimum in knits design
  • Adobe creative suite proficiency
  • Ability to see the development of a product through from concept to completion
  • Extensive knowledge of domestically apparel costing and production methods
  • Experience in graphic tees is a must
