CONTRACT ROLE - ONSITE BASED OUT OF SAN ANTONIO, TX


Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of electrical systems within our critical environments. You will perform routine operational readings, and preventive maintenance, and adhere to safety and security protocols. Your expertise will support the reliability and efficiency of our data centers or similar high-availability environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operational readings and log data for all electrical equipment, including temperatures, voltages, and currents.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical environment-planned work activities.
  • Energize cabinets in a colocation environment.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual preventive maintenance on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), system control panels, and batteries.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures and physical security policies.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data centers.
  • Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceutical settings.
  • Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code.
  • OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification is required.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous data center experience is a plus.
  • Qualified Electrical Worker certification is preferred.


Working Conditions:

  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and different work week configurations (3, 4, or 5 days)
