Sharepoint Architect

Are you passionate about creating innovative solutions using SharePoint and Microsoft 365? The Bergaila Companies is seeking a qualified individual to join our team for an on-site position. As a SharePoint & Microsoft365 Architect/Developer, you'll play a key role in working with various stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art applications and workflows. The candidate will have a deep understanding of Modern SharePoint's features and capabilities related to Power Platform and knowledge management, including document management, content types, metadata, search, and workflow automation. Must be familiar with knowledge management best practices, including information architecture, content management, organizational development, and content lifecycle management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solution Design:

• Design and architect SharePoint solutions based on business requirements.
• Define site structures, information architecture, and user interface designs.
• Create solution blueprints, wireframes, and technical specifications.
• Design, document, and configure new & existing SharePoint sites and libraries to meet specific business needs.
• Design & develop complex workflows using Power Automate to automate tasks and approvals with other applications.

Customization and Development:

• Develop custom components, web parts, workflows, and forms using SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Power Platform, or other development tools.
• Implement customizations to SharePoint sites, master pages, page layouts, and navigation.
• Integrate SharePoint with other systems and data sources using APIs, web services, or third-party connectors.
• Integrate SharePoint with apps, services, and connectors built with Microsoft Power Apps

Workflow Automation:

• Design and implement workflows to automate business processes using SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, or other workflow automation tools.
• Configure approval workflows, document review processes, and notifications.
• Data Management and Integration:
• Manage SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types to organize and structure data effectively.
• Develop custom data views, forms, and reports to present information in a user-friendly manner.
• Integrate SharePoint with external data sources, such as databases, ERP systems, or cloud services.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct testing of SharePoint solutions to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
• Deliver end-user training and best practice recommendations & documentation.
• Identify and address any issues or bugs in the solution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments.
• Deployment and Maintenance:
• Deploy SharePoint solutions to production environments following best practices and change management procedures.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SharePoint sites and solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance optimization as needed.

Assess and Identify system requirements, develops application specifications, leads conversion and migration efforts, and develops convergence plans toward standards.

Establishes liaison relationships with business partners and/or suppliers in order to provide technical solutions to meet departmental needs and influence strategic initiatives.

Assesses needs to determine alignment of unit/corporation business needs and the impact on business processes to establish strategic priorities.

Organize, populate, catalog, maintain, and archive program data and documentation across SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

Interact with all Departments and Team members to collaborate on solutions.

Participates in and Leads planning sessions with internal Team to improve business processes and prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure.

Identifies enterprise information systems opportunities that align with corporate strategy and performance.

Leads the development of guidelines and standards to be utilized in software development/ integration including developing and leading implementation plans for integration testing. Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process.

Provides recommendations, including advising on system options, risks, return on investment (ROI), and impact to business processes.

Write technical documentation and support manuals.

Demonstrates project management skills and may serve as a lead on IT projects.

Facilitate and enhance collaborative processes across digital spaces, ensuring seamless interaction and information sharing among team members.

Develop, Administer and manage the SharePoint and Teams sites, ensuring they serve as an effective platform for online collaboration.

Developing IT policies and best practices.

Supervising the installation and configuration of hardware and software systems.

Providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting.

Conducting training sessions for staff on new technologies, systems, and SharePoint features.

Documenting system configurations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field and will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint applications.

Learn and incorporate new technologies and graphic design principles relevant to the SharePoint environment.

Support the use of SharePoint customizations, including the Microsoft Power Platform

Assist in creating and updating technical and non-technical documentation for developed solutions.

The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills to fulfill the responsibilities outlined and generate quality results.

Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platforms (Power Automate and Power Apps) architecture and development.

• Proven experience in designing, customizing, developing and implementing solutions within the SharePoint platform.
• Proficiency in SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and other SharePoint development tools.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, site administration, and security concepts.
• Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools like Power Automate (Microsoft Flow).
• Familiarity with building apps, services, and connectors using Microsoft Power Apps
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Strong knowledge of SharePoint development tools and the Microsoft Office 365 suite.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate
• Relevant certifications in web development, workflow automation, or project management are a plus.
