Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for a Full Charge AR/AP Bookkeeper for our client in the construction industry to assist with their daytoday accounting and clerical requirements.
This is a 100% onsite position in their Lindenhurst NY office.
The individual in this role will assist with the daytoday accounting and clerical requirements.
Confidentiality excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position as well as the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multitasker with prior highvolume AP processing who is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
The Bookkeeper will perform a variety of accounting duties including but not limited to the following:
- Medium volume payable and receivable processing.
- Review and process supplier invoices in ERP system (NetSuite) through data entry or upload ensuring appropriate threeway match.
- Process expense reports and categorize appropriately.
- New customer and vendor setup and maintenance.
- Maintain updated vendor records including W9s and Certificates of Insurance.
- Retrieves information as requested from records email minutes and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
- Prepares check runs and wire transfers.
- Receives researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- Coordinates and schedules travel meetings and appointments for managers or supervisors.
- Files maintains and distributes accounting documents records and reports.
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate should have 3 years of related experience working in an office environment.
- General Ledger system experience is a plus.
- NetSuiteOracle is a plus.
- Prior experience in cement construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a challenging fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confident presence with the ability to interact with senior leadership.
- Professional work ethic with a positive selfstarter cando attitude.
Education:
Associate Degree in Accounting (Preferred but not required)
Salary:
Salary is in the 65k 70k range and is commensurate with experience.
