- Serves as the leader of the healthcare team. Responsible for assessing, planning, controlling, implementing, and evaluating the 24 hour function of all activities related to patient care in the inpatient area. They are aware of MHP policies and procedures to assist staff in providing evidence based practices. Responsible for personnel management of a designated shift and inpatient unit. Collaborates with the Clinical Practice Coordinator and Staff Development Educators to ensure ongoing training for staff and patient education.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional & Technical Skills
- Demonstrates leadership, management and communication skills.
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN required.
- License(s) or Certification(s)
- Must possess a current Indiana License as an RN and speciality certification in Med/Surg or Critical Care.
- Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
- All age groups

- Minimum 2 years as a staff nurse with demonstrated knowledge of an capabilities of leading people and delivering patient care.
