*About the Role:*
As a Best of Care Supervisory Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to our clients. This position requires a dynamic and compassionate RN to conduct orientations, regular supervisory visits, provide medication management, and client assessments. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding our personal care workers, including home health aides and certified nursing assistants, ensuring they deliver care that aligns with our ethos of excellence.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Orientation and Supervision:*
* Conduct first-day orientations for agency-referred patients, introducing them to their home health aide and care plan.
* Perform quarterly and emergency supervisory visits, assessing caregiver competencies and client satisfaction, and documenting these observations meticulously.
* *Client Assessments and Care Plans:*
* Undertake thorough client assessments for both private pay and contract-referred clients, crafting personalized care plans that address each client's unique needs.
*3. Medication Management: *
o Pre-fill medications in a medication planner or dispenser weekly/bi-weekly depending on the client need.
o Contact PCP for any concerns/updated medication lists.
* *Flexible Scheduling:*
* Collaborate with the Best of Care Nursing Care Manager to establish a flexible and effective visit schedule.
* *Quality Assurance:*
* Engage in continuous evaluation of care services, contributing to caregiver performance reviews and ensuring adherence to company standards.
*Qualifications:*
* Current, valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
* Recent TB test (negative result) and physical exam.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Deep understanding of home care tasks and company policies.
* Proven ability to make sound judgments and accurate observations.
* Effective time management and ability to adhere to visit schedules.
* Proficiency in computer and cell phone usage.
* Experience with Hoyer Lift and knowledge of oxygen tank management.
