Our industry leading client is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for their Distribution Center Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one of their largest distribution centers in Florida. You will play a crucial role in managing inventory, optimizing processes, and leading a team to ensure the efficient and accurate distribution of goods.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Leadership: Build, lead, and motivate a team of associates to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to ensure a high level of performance and morale.


2. Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Implement and optimize processes to improve efficiency and productivity.


3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation. Implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocks.


4. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of warehouse operations. Implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet company standards and customer expectations.


5. Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and provide safety training as needed.


6. Customer Service: Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Address customer inquiries and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.


7. Performance Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of the distribution center. Analyze data and implement improvements to meet or exceed KPI targets.


8. Cost Management: Manage distribution center budget and expenses effectively. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives.


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent management experience in warehouse management or distribution center operations.

- 5+ years experience in warehouse management or distribution center operations.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills organizational and time management skills.

- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must.
