Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, synthesis, and characterization of ceramic materials for SOFC electrodes, electrolytes, and interconnects.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate ceramics into stack designs, optimizing performance.
  • Drive innovation to overcome challenges in thermal management, chemical compatibility, and mechanical stability.
  • Stay updated on ceramic materials advancements, applying new knowledge to improve SOFC technology.
  • Support scale-up and manufacturing processes for ceramic components.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong background in ceramic materials synthesis, processing, and characterization.
  • Experience with high-temperature ceramic applications, ideally in fuel cell systems.
  • Proficiency in laboratory experimentation and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.


Based in Pittburgh- office based position.
