What to expect in this role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior POS Terminal Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing Point of Sale (POS) terminals and payment solutions. As a Senior POS Terminal Tester, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and performance of our POS terminals.



  • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for POS terminals.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing on POS terminals and associated software.
  • Identify, document, and track software and hardware defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality risks.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the reliability and stability of POS terminals.
  • Validate and verify fixes for defects and ensure they meet the quality standards.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of payment transactions and integrations with various payment gateways.
  • Analyze test results, generate test reports, and provide clear and actionable feedback to the development team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in POS terminal testing.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.


Qualifications and Tech Proficiency

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software testing, with a focus on POS terminals.
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems, payment processing, and related technologies.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Familiarity with EMV, PCI compliance, and other industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
