Network Services Engineer Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for pre-sales consulting, network design, and implementation oversight across various client environments with a focus on wireless technologies including Cisco Meraki.

Wireless Network Design and Implementation:
  • Develop detailed wireless network designs for different environments (residential, logistics, institutional) using Cisco Meraki and other relevant RF technologies.
  • Conduct RF site surveys to determine optimal placement of access points and other network devices.
  • Create and manage network diagrams and documentation to support design and implementation phases.
Client Interaction and Support:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their specific network requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Offer technical support and training to clients and internal staff as needed.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and reports on network performance and improvements.
Site Analysis and Attenuation:
  • Perform RF site surveys to assess and analyze signal strength, coverage, and interference in various environments.
  • Identify and mitigate sources of RF interference and attenuation to optimize network performance.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to improve wireless coverage and connectivity based on survey results.
Installation and Configuration:
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of wireless network hardware, including Meraki access points, controllers, and switches.
  • Ensure that installations adhere to design specifications and best practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve installation issues and ensure successful deployment.
Network Optimization and Maintenance:
  • Monitor and manage the performance of wireless networks to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and hardware malfunctions.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
Project Management:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and milestones.
