RISK INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST


Role Summary

Join our Risk Infrastructure team within Risk Technology to play a pivotal role in advancing our risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance risk measurement and management capabilities across the organization.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Business Process Definition: Define and document business processes, gather requirements, and prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • User Interaction: Create mock-ups, schematics, and flow charts to gather user input and feedback.
  • Data Management: Maintain and manage data dictionaries and models for risk processes.
  • UAT & Training: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), provide training, and oversee project management.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Assess third-party fintech platforms and develop proofs-of-concept.
  • Tool Development: Develop tools and prototypes using Excel, Python, and BI dashboards.
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Assist with code deployment, risk analysis, and issue resolution.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in the financial industry, ideally in capital markets.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with quants to develop requirements and risk measures.
  • Integration: Familiarity with integrating fintech platforms and tools (e.g., Numerix, Murex).


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, VBA, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Kafka).
  • Knowledge of risk systems and financial engineering tools.


Communication Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience interfacing with various stakeholders including quants, front office, and IT teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in a STEM field; advanced degrees in Financial Engineering, Computational Finance, or an MBA in Finance are advantageous.
  • Certifications: CFA or FRM certifications are desirable but not required.
