Primary function of this position is to drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites. Our shuttle drivers make $20.40/hour Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, strong safety culture, and much moreMain ingredients of the job:Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sitesMay be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery DriverPerform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspectionPhysical requirements:Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions requiredWhat you bring to the table:Register to the FMCSA ClearinghouseMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications6 months commercial driving experience requiredDoubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferredMust be comfortable working overnightAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.US Foods helps our customers Make It, with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work.
