Job Opportunity At The Home DepotWith a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.Position Purpose: AMP associates review areas of controllership, perform risk assessments and evaluate business/operational processes to identify process improvement/cost-out opportunities and mitigate risks. The Senior Analyst is responsible for contributing to planned Finance, Human Resource, Legal and Communications projects focused on identifying and evaluating business risks, relevant internal controls, and related opportunities for internal control improvement as well as being a key part of the Company's annual assessment of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:Execute specified segments of a project; understand objectives, identify resources, meet set timelines, communicate results and present deliverables for the identified segmentDetermine objectives and risks of core and support processes that support a business strategy using the Business Process Review methodology; create a process map and identify critical success factors; use data/metrics to measure the risk within the process and the impact of controls on the process opportunities; evaluate effectiveness of controls; identify sustainable solutions to fix breakdownsCreate sophisticated data collection plans; identify sources of data (operational, financial, industry, etc); gather, analyze and manipulate data; review data for trends and exceptions and draw sound conclusions; use statistical data tools to graphically display and analyze results; review and create cost/benefit analysis and financial/data models with limited supervisionAccept and facilitate change by understanding the vision; assist management with developing a strategy to ensure that the change lasts; identify and remove barriers; lead in implementing changesEffectively communicate project scope, strategy, status and results to high level managementTypically reports to Manager AMPNo associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work groupEnvironmental Job Requirements:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionableTypically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the timeMinimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or olderMust pass the Drug TestMust pass the Background CheckMust pass pre-employment tests if applicableEducation Required:The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.Years of Relevant Work Experience:2 years of relevant work experiencePhysical Job Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articlesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree requiredMinimum of 2 years work experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or on track to complete CPAExternal Audit or Internal Audit experienceSarbanes-Oxley compliance experienceProject Management experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environmentStrong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive leadersKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Problem solving and general analytical skillsAbility to communicate with all levels of associates and Executive ManagementStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize workAbility to work in ambiguous situations with little directionAbility to work in a team environment
