The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations. The role requires expertise in electrical maintenance and construction, as well as leadership skills to supervise and work effectively with a team. The Electrician will work closely with customers and subordinates to ensure efficient and safe electrical operations./ph3Essential Responsibilities/h3ulliPerform electrical maintenance and installation tasks, ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations./liliSupervise and lead a team of electricians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship./liliConduct battery maintenance and installation, ensuring optimal functionality and safety./liliRead and interpret blueprints to accurately perform material take-offs and plan installations./liliCommunicate effectively with customers and team members to address electrical issues and provide solutions./liliMaintain a record of safe practices and ensure all team members follow safety protocols./liliObtain and maintain required security clearances as per contract specifications./li/ulh3Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required/h3ullistrongEducation:/strong High school graduate or GED equivalent; graduates of technical, vocational, or trade schools in the electrical trade are preferred./lilistrongCertification:/strong Must hold a certification as a Master Electrician in a CONUS jurisdiction and possess appropriate state and local licenses./lilistrongExperience:/strong Minimum of eight (8) years in the electrical trade, with experience in maintenance or construction. Must have held a supervisory position for at least two (2) years./lilistrongSkills:/strong ulliThorough knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance./liliAbility to read blueprints and perform material take-offs./liliStrong leadership and communication skills./liliFamiliarity with safety standards for electrical equipment maintenance and repair./li/ul/liliAbility to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance at the start of the contract and a TS access within eight (8) months of contract award./li/ulh3Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands/h3pThe position requires working in various environments, which may include outdoor or confined spaces, and sometimes in adverse weather conditions. The role may involve physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Mentally, the Electrician must be able to work under pressure, solve complex problems, and manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations is essential.
