This 'someone' is ambitious and curious to learn more about the Transportation and shipping process. They aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get sh*t doneWhat you'll do:Focuses on collecting, preparing, and interpreting transportation data (e.g. transit times, cost variances), identifying areas of opportunity in the network, and formulating recommendations to improve costs, quality, and service.Work directly with our outbound transportation team spanning dock door operations, carrier management, and merchant support teams to support improvement initiatives backed by data.Monitor, measure, and provide recommendations to improve service level KPIs focused on small-parcel delivery of ecommerce orders.Conduct shipping audits and provide recommendations that align with our SOPs and drive departmental KPIsPartners with Transportation Leadership to gather, synthesize, and deliver key shipping and transportation metrics through concise, executive-ready dashboards and presentations that drive strategic decision-making.What you'll need:Data Visualization & BI: Demonstrated analytical expertise using Metabase or similar BI platforms (e.g. Superset, Redash, Tableau, Power BI, Mode) to build dashboards, drill into metrics, and drive data-informed decisions.SQL Proficiency: Skilled at authoring and optimizing complex SQL queries for robust data extraction, transformation, and reporting.Advanced Excel: Mastery of Excel's advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA to model data, automate workflows, and deliver actionable insights.2+ years of experience working for a 3PL or transportation company, specifically working with small parcel carriers (UPS, FDX, Regionals).Experience in supply chain management, fulfilment, or manufacturing preferredCustomer service obsession, with willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needsProven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using dataStrong communication skills and self-motivatedTypical work schedule is M-F; however, we are a 24/7 business.
