As the Hospital Radiology Supervisor, you will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Radiology Department, ensuring that high standards of patient care and service excellence are met. You will lead a team of radiologic technologists, coordinate schedules, manage productivity, and ensure smooth patient flow. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will also perform diagnostic imaging procedures as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of radiologic technologists, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop schedules and manage productivity to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee clinical quality assurance and safety programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain the highest standards of diagnostic imaging quality.
  • Patient Care: Ensure exceptional patient care by expediting patient flow and maintaining clear communication. Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize IT systems including Cerner, PACS, RIS, and Connect Care to manage workflow and patient records. Stay current with industry changes and advancements.
  • Resource Management: Manage the ordering of supplies and maintain inventory to support the department's needs. Ensure optimal use of resources to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
  • Human Resources: Participate in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of team members. Support professional development and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of lead or management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Imaging accredited program or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Florida State Licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certification: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • Skills: Proficiency in IT systems. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
