Assistant Maintenance Manager - Allyson GardensWPM Real Estate Management is seeking a talented and dependable Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our service team at Allyson Gardens in Owings Mills, MD. This is a great opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on work and mentoring others in a fast-paced residential environment.In this role, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations. You'll help lead the maintenance team, coordinate with contractors, manage work orders, and ensure timely responses to resident concerns, all while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety across the property.What We OfferCompetitive pay: $27/hourBonus potentialMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO) and sick leaveRental discount for eligible full-time associates at WPM-managed propertiesPhone allowanceA collaborative, supportive team cultureKey ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance duties, including:HVAC: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systemsElectrical: Install lamps, ballasts, repair switches, outlets, and fixturesPlumbing: Clear backups, repair/replace toilets and faucets, install disposalsCarpentry: Replace doors, shelves, siding, and other wood componentsGeneral: Replace broken glass, tiles, carpet, screens, appliances, and locksPrepare apartments for move-ins and assist with move-out inspectionsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shopPerform seasonal outdoor tasks such as grounds policing and snow removalParticipate in the rotating on-call scheduleComplete painting and drywall repairs as neededProvide mentorship to junior maintenance staff and assist with trainingSupport the Service Manager with administrative and operational dutiesRequirements35 years of residential or property maintenance experienceHVAC certification is requiredStrong skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentryHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and reliable vehicle requiredAbility to work from ladders or lifts up to 85 feetAvailability for emergency on-call shiftsJoin a company that values your skills, supports your growth, and takes pride in providing quality living environments for our residents.
