Responsibilities with building utilities and control systems to support the operation of a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Participates in review of system design, maintenance and operation of all Facilities related equipment and systems including mechanical, electrical and controls. Supports efforts with manufacturing equipment including water plants, chillers, boilers, cooling water systems, compressed air, electrical distribution, specialty gases, chemicals and HVAC related equipment. Performs necessary tasks to maintain regulatory requirements of federal, state and local codes; includes gas scrubber and wastewater operations, and stormwater emissions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site operation of electrical systems and components
  • Oversee implementation of electrical maintenance activities
  • Develop and modify PM program activities for electrical equipment
  • Advise on new equipment design and installation
  • Modification of existing electrical systems to meet new equipment needs and demands
  • Lead contractor activities


Education and Experience Profile:

  • 4-year BS in electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience in this field is required
  • 3+ years experience


Required Skills:

  • Power electrical trouble shooting
  • Developing and interpreting electrical diagrams
  • Arc flash testing and activities
  • Knowledge of UPS specification and operation
  • Knowledge of electrical PM maintenance
  • Experience with management of electrical contractors
  • Problem solving skills


Beneficial skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Interpersonal team environment skills
  • Knowledge of low/medium/high voltage switchgear operation & repair
  • Experience with operation of typical facilities support equipment (electric motors, chillers, boilers, air compressors, exhaust fans, vacuum pumps, scrubber towers, etc)
  • Controls or SCADA system experience
  • Cleanroom experience
  • Experience with a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Switchyard operation
  • Flywheel UPS operation

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment and non-climate controlled manufacturing facility
