Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a RN Clinical Educator Nursing to join our Pediatric Emergency Department (ED). This role is full-time, M-F. Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes system strategies and tools to assess the competency of new nursing staff members while focusing on quality of care and patient safety goals.
  • Integrates theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles and clinical nursing expertise into educational experiences for both new and experienced team members.
  • Prepares annual self-development plans, sets professional goals and seek opportunities for achieving them.
  • Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Hours: full-time, M-F (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)
  • Education: Master‘s Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant field
  • Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License
