Bring your skills to light and power your future with our team.The Assistant Project Manager will assist/support the Project Manager (PM) on project tasks as assigned, follow-up on deliverables, and review with the PM. Work assignments may include supporting multiple projects concurrently. While not otherwise involved in project-specific work, the APM I will support other project and proposal efforts, or may work with, or do rotations with the various operational support groups.Pay: This is an exempt/salary position. The pay range is $67,500 - $80,000. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience. Location/Travel Requirements: Position will be on-site at a job location in the Mid-West. 75% travel or more required.What You'll Do:Assists PM in the development of the initial project schedule in conjunction with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management personnelParticipates in value engineering and constructability reviewsWorks with procurement to develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedules exhibits to the contracts for review by PM before processingWorks with the Health and Safety Manager on all safety-related issues, including but not limited to, development and implementation of the project-specific safety plan, reporting of incidents, and supporting the investigation of incidentsAssists the PM with project schedule and helps prepare monthly project review reports for the project management team and Senior ManagementProvides feedback to improve Quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables for projectsAssists in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packagesMonitor's progress of overall design, procurement, and construction of the projectFacilitates Project Close-Out and Warranty administrationPerforms post-construction cost review and reporting and participates in lessons learnedPerforms any other duties assigned by the PM, including acting as PM when PM is unavailable (when deemed qualified by PM/Operations Director)Adheres to internal standards, policies, and proceduresField document controlCreates daily reportsTakes progress photographsParticipates in value engineering and constructability reviewsWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field; equivalent work experience, or combination of work and education, may be substitutedExperience on DB/EPC projects in the power delivery industry; ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation workProficient in handling multiple projects and ensure law and requirements are being followedProficient knowledge of project management systems - Primavera 6 preferredFamiliar with technology and proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and other software)Management and supervision skillsHigh sense of integrity job requires being honest and ethicalStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsValid, Active Driver's LicensePre-screen: Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and MVR check.What You'll Get Benefits:401(k) with company match (traditional & roth available)Paid Holidays and PTOParental LeaveMedical, Dental, VisionAdditional Voluntary benefits availableEmployee DiscountsCompany paid:Health Plan (HDHP 5,000 -other plan options available for cost)Long Term Disability1X Base Salary life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramBrink Constructors, Inc. does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
