Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients with advanced pulmonary diseases such as pneumonia and COPD.
  • Operate and manage IV pumps, telemetry remote/trachs, BiPAP/CPAP machines.
  • Administer drips and infusions.
  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and start IVs.
  • Transport patients and assist with ICU transfers.
  • Manage oxygen weaning and transition patients from nebulizer to inhaler treatments.


Unit Specifics:

  • 32-bed unit primarily focusing on surgical and medical-surgical patients.


Requirements:

  • Valid New York State (NYS) nursing license at the time of submission (non-negotiable).
  • Recent Nursys verification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of specialty experience required (candidates with at least one (1) year may be considered).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross (must be obtained before start date if not already certified).
  • Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.


Position Details:

  • Location: Schenectady, NY 12308
  • Position Type: Temporary (13 Weeks)
  • Pay Rate: $55.00 - $58.00 Per Hour
  • Shift and Time: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), Every Other Weekend
