We are currently hiring for a full-time or part-time Vet Assistant to join our team of experienced veterinarians and devoted support staff to continue to provide high quality care to our patients. If you're passionate about supporting exceptional veterinary care in a positive, team-oriented environment, we'd love to meet you.What to Expect As you join our team, expect to be supported in your work and home life with:Full Medical Benefits Medical, dental, and vision401K to help you invest in your futurePaid time off Vacation time and paid holidays to catch your breath and rechargeHands on training and mentorship supporting your career growth with continuing education, certifications (e.g., Fear Free), and training across a variety of roles in the hospitalTeam Oriented We are a collaborative, tight knit team with a can-do attitudeSalary: $19-$22/hr. based on experience and skill set.Schedule: Mon-Fri from 7am-6pm, every other SaturdayKey Responsibilities:Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeriesHandle and restrain animals safely and compassionatelyPrepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfacesPerform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samplesAdminister medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarianFeed, bathe, and exercise animals as neededMaintain accurate medical recordsCommunicate with pet owners about their pets' care, treatment plans, and follow-up visitsClean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environmentQualifications:Must have veterinary assistant experience.Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.About Toro Park Animal Hospital Toro Park Animal Hospital is a premier full-service veterinary clinic dedicated to providing exceptional, individualized care for dogs and cats.
