Job TitleAMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.ResponsibilitiesMaintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldActive Secret ClearanceU.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearanceAt least 3+ years of experience with: Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, Python, GO, JavaScript, C++.Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $67,800.00/Yr. - USD $113,200.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
