JCC Camp Grossman is looking for office staff to offer administrative support during our busy camping season in our summer camp office. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our office by providing administrative assistance, keeping track of our camp database, and, most importantly, serving as a friendly and welcoming first point of contact for all callers, and for families and campers.JCC Greater Boston is deeply committed to valuing and celebrating the uniqueness of each constituent. We are guided by JCC Greater Boston's core values - Belonging, Joyfulness, Collaboration, and Transformation - which resonate with many who do not identify as Jewish.Primary responsibilities include, and are not limited to:Ability to communicate with co-workers, the leadership team, families and campersMaintain office supplies and ensure the workspace is organized and functionalProvide exceptional customer service by addressing parent concerns, resolving parent and camper issues, and ensuring our camp families feel listened to and understood.Answer and direct phone calls and other inquiries to the appropriate staffEfficiently relay updates or changes in camper transportation plans to the appropriate staff members, ensuring smooth coordination and minimal disruptionsTransport (on foot or Golf Cart) campers to and from activities when neededWelcome all campers, staff and families who enter the Camp OfficeStandard staff expectations include and are not limited to:Actively create a welcoming dynamic that contributes to an environment where everyone is valued and respectedActively participate as an essential team member and attend all staff meetings during or after camp as requiredSupport JCC Greater Boston's mission, vision, and values of belonging, joyfulness, collaboration, and transformation, including through role modelingEnthusiastically represent the organization, modeling excellence and achievementComplete all staff payroll and onboarding on time and before Orientation beginsComplete all pre-camp asynchronous on-line training modules and attend all pre-camp in-person orientation sessionsOther duties as assignedThis is a great chance to join JCC Greater Boston's respected and valued, people-orientated workplace of diverse community services providers, which is rapidly growingWe are an outdoor camp, located on beautiful, wooded property in Dover, MA. This is an hourly position, for 8.5 hrs/day, Monday - Friday, for the camp season*. The regular Camp day begins when you arrive at Camp (typically between 7:30am and 8:00am) and ends between 4:00pm and 4:30pm. Offering great perks, including JCC Health & Fitness center access, a supportive, vibrant in-person work environment, and a competitive starting pay rate of $16 per hour. The pay rate offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience and JCC's internal equity.*The regular camp season begins June 29 and ends August 21. Orientation takes place the week of June 22 and ends with Visiting Day (a pre-camp visit for all campers and families to meet staff) on Sunday, June 28.
