Senior Specialist, Logistics EngineerL3Harris is seeking a Logistics Engineering Specialist to support the growing product portfolio in our Sterling, VA location. Individual will provide program support in asset management, obsolescence mitigation, inspection of components, and support of training events.Essential Functions:Support an efficient PHS&T system which introduces minimal organizational delay time or errors, and results in material shipments at the "right place at the right time", thus improving system availability and lowering overall life cycle costInterface daily with PHS&T Lead and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to ensure all SMD PHS&T needs are being metPerform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property as directedIdentify, plan, and report the availability and usability of packing materials to PHS&T Lead and/or IPTLProcess, track, and close-out the shipment of products to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMsMonitor and track the movement of supplies from the stock rooms to operational support in the fieldSupport depot specific operations as directedMust have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.Assist in innovating the strategies for tracking program assets and spare parts to maximize efficiencyQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly requiredAbility to lift 45 lbsPreferred Additional Skills:Sunflower EAM Tool ExperienceExperience with Microsoft Office and computer proficiencyForklift certifiedMust be detail-oriented and organizedExcellent written and verbal communications skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
