Title: Lab Analyst

Location: Savannah, GA 31408

Duration:- 07 + months contract with possible extension

Shift : 12hr rotating shift. 6:45 to 7. (2-3-2 schedule)

Summary Of Position:

  • Conducts analysis and experimentation on raw material, in-process and finished product, and wastewater samples to ensure quality specifications meet or exceed customer expectations.


Responsibilities:

  • Operates and maintains various quality control instruments.
  • Performs timely and accurate routine quality control analysis using established test methods.
  • Approves/rejects materials based upon set specifications.
  • Enters data into plant information system to allow generation of reports on plant operating conditions
  • Maintains the laboratory according to 5S practices, good housekeeping, and safety standards within the Chemical Hygiene Plan.
  • Performs calibrations of equipment.
  • Assists in troubleshooting problems with in-process materials, intermediates and finished products.
  • May perform other related assignments as determined by supervision.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education equivalent to:
  • BS in Chemistry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months lab experience


Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements:

(describes ideal and preferable experience but not the number of years)

  • Self-motivated individual with good time management skills
  • Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
