Position: Corporate Attorney

Location: Mobile, AL (Will Pay for Relocation)

Duration: Permanent

Required Qualifications:

• LLB or JD from an accredited law school
• 4.5-7.5 years of experience in a major law firm or with a global company:
• Immigration law
• Employment law
• EHS (environmental health and safety) law
• Privacy laws
• Corporate governance
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Comfortable with 20% travel (international and domestic)

Preferred:

• Experience working for a global manufacturing company
• Experience working for a steel manufacturing company (++)

Day to Day:

As a Corporate Attorney, you will provide legal support by working with corporate and operating personnel from each company/facility, and from time to time, the corporate headquarters which is located overseas in Sweden. The Corporate Attorney will focus primarily on employment law, environmental health and safety (EHS) law, immigration matters, compliance with applicable privacy laws and corporate governance. The Corporate Attorney will provide thoughtful, practical, innovative, and timely advice to the General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel and senior management on the above areas of law and other areas of law, as needed. The Corporate Attorney will also identify and anticipate opportunities and challenges and develop practical solutions that mitigate potential risks to the organization.
