Summary


The Plant Manager will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the effective and efficient utilization of employees through proactive, high participation work team involvement.


Key Activities


  • Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility, striving for quality excellence.
  • Manage financial performance and make required changes as needed to meet business commitments.
  • Manage all aspects of the plant cost structure including direct and indirect labor, maintenance and consumable spending and proactively control business volume swings to preserve profitability.
  • Assist operating management with budgeting, production statistics, cost analysis, justification of capital expenditures and asset management.
  • Lead the facility in establishing and meeting continuous improvement objectives.
  • Partner with various leadership to develop and maintain a positive culture consistent with values, behaviors, and mission.
  • Encourage and support the development of all plant employees.
  • Responsible for overall performance efficiencies and competitive service level for the plant.

Preferred Skills


  • Overall management responsibility for all aspects of quality including product performance.
  • Maintains a sense of urgency and accountability in the plant to ensure prompt responses to employee needs.
  • Ensures the protection of company assets through appropriate maintenance methodologies.
  • Monitors raw materials and supplies on hand to ensure adequate supply.


Educations & Experience


  • Knowledge of and experience in production operations and leading a team in a manufacturing facility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of and competency using UKG (Kronos), SAP, Microsoft office.
