Backend .NET Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Backend .NET Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.


Backend .NET Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the cloud-based backend server that serves as the foundation of our product.
  • Participate in technical architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions within the team.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, UX Designers, and Front-end Engineers to deliver a robust backend for a cloud-based administration platform, ensuring an optimal user experience.
  • Implement and maintain high-level machine learning libraries and algorithms to enhance application capabilities.
  • Ensure application performance and database efficiency through regular optimization and troubleshooting.


Backend .NET Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience; or 7+ years of comparable experience in web applications and applications utilizing machine learning techniques.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming, data structures, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing applications using C# and ASP.NET.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud application development environments, including AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in analyzing datasets and building models is highly desirable.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and balance multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with C#, ASP.NET (.NET 5 and above), and Entity Framework Core.
  • Experience with high-level machine learning libraries such as ML.NET, Keras, or PyTorch.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with high-usage and high-throughput system implementations and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud application development, including AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
  • Skills in application performance optimization and database query tuning.
  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and secure communication protocols
