Sr. Java Full-Stack Developer (Java/ PostgreSQL/ Hive and Python)

Cognizant‘s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Java Full-Stack Developer (Java/ PostgreSQL/ Hive and Python) with at least 8+ years‘ experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with a proven track record of building scalable and high-performance web applications. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Roles/Responsibilities

* Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using PostgreSQL, Hive, Python, and Java technologies.

* Oversee the design and architecture of complex applications to ensure they meet business requirements.

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to enhance their skills and performance.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new projects.

* Develop and maintain high-quality code that is efficient, scalable, and reliable.

* Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

* Implement automated testing and continuous integration processes to improve software quality.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate them into projects.

* Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

* Ensure that all development activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

* Contribute to the documentation of software designs, technical specifications, and user manuals.

* Work closely with the Research and Development team to explore innovative solutions and improvements.

* Prior onsite work experience and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
