The Interior Designer will have direct working contact with client representatives to develop functional, sustainable and aesthetic designs. Responsibilities will focus on program development, space planning, construction documents, FF&E selection/specification, development of sketches and renderings and coordination with interior design elements on architecture projects. Project types will include Workplace, Multi-Family and Hospitality.


Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of design trends, construction methods, and material applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art, and accessories.
  • Manage project coordination between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.
  • Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of construction documents.
  • Advanced knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate with the existing team.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited university.
  • 5 - 7 years of project experience within an architecture and interior design practice (preferably hospitality, program, and/or workplace design).
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Must be a professional Interior Designer, registered in the State of Alabama.
  • Advanced credentials desired (LEED AP, WELL AP).
