Technical Trainer - Operations OfficerService s Company (SERCO) is seeking a Technical Trainer - Operations Officer to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The MCTP trains Brigade, Division, and Corps Commanders and their staffs during simulation-driven command post Warfighter Exercises (WFX) in support of Large-Scale Combat Operations and across Multi-Domain Operations.Responsibilities:Principal duty is the operations officer for the Headquarters Support Team. Serves as the operations officer and is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations. Manages information flow, understands the operational environment to include planning, preparation and execution of Warfighter Exercises (WFXs) and daily garrison operations in support of HST Headquarters team.Prepares and maintains tracking mechanisms that support Warfighter exercises personnel rosters, hotel scheduling, maintains training records, and daily functions supporting garrison operations.Maintains situational awareness with regards to all Exercise Lifecycle (ELC) planning events.The Operations Officer will have an additional duty as an Exercise Support Planner (as needed) to support Warfighter exercises:As required, be prepared to execute your additional duty as an Exercise Support Planner (ESP). This involves attending planning meetings, writing, publishing, and delivering Exercise Life Cycle Event Contract Deliverables (CDRL).As required, be prepared to execute your additional duty and travel as an Exercise Support Planner during Warfighter exercise to receive equipment, support the HST leadership and Exercise control (EXCON) during Warfighter exercises.Qualifications:An active DoD Secret security clearanceU.S Citizenship RequiredOne of the following:High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of professional leadership experienceBachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional leadership experienceMaster's degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional leadership experienceFamiliar with current Army/Joint doctrineHighly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in KansasMust be able to travel as needed both CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25% of the time)Preferred Qualifications:U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)A minimum of 2 years of experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large-scale computer simulation exercisesPrevious experience in computer assisted simulation trainingIf you feel your skillset is a match to the aforementioned requirements, then you should be ready to take the next step of your career path, apply today In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $67,889.77 to $113,149.62; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.Company Overview:Serco Inc.
