Location: Dedham, MA

Job Schedule: Hybrid – required onsite days a few times per month in Dedham, MA


Must Haves:

  • 3+ years overall experience
  • 1-2 years’ exposure to FMLA, Benefit Admin
  • Experience using an HRIS
  • Excellent attention to detail and comfortable with heavy data entry


Preferred:

  • Paylocity
  • Retail or hospitality industry experience
  • Leave of absence experience


Job Summary/Description: We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our team. As an integral part of our HR department, you'll provide crucial administrative support and assist in various HR functions to ensure seamless operations across the organization.


Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration Support:

  • Address employee inquiries, including Paid Time Off (PTO), and handle basic benefit-related questions.
  • Assist in enrollment processes, tracking eligibility, and updating employment status changes.
  • Collaborate with the benefits supervisor to ensure accurate benefits administration.
  • Support open enrollment processes and assist in ACA administration tasks, such as running monthly reports.

Unemployment Claims and Records Management:

  • Process unemployment claims and coordinate hearings and appeals.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, employment history, and termination details.

Data Entry:

  • Input and maintain employee data accurately and promptly in the HR & Payroll system.
  • Update HR records, ensuring accuracy, and verify offer letters and motor vehicle records for drivers.
  • Participate in basic payroll processing, including position and rate changes.

General HR Support:

  • Provide administrative support for HR initiatives, projects, and tasks.
  • Prepare periodic HR procedure reminders and distribute employee waivers and packets as needed.
  • Coordinate HR announcements, such as service awards, recognitions, and life events.
  • Handle verification of employment requests and address general HR inquiries from employees, redirecting complex queries to appropriate HR personnel.
  • Join us in maintaining efficient HR processes and supporting our dynamic HR team
