Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics Job Summary: As a Quality Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers. You will be pivotal in supporting high quality deliverables to our high-profile customers, conducting internal audits, collecting, and analyzing production data to evaluate product quality, and driving root cause analysis to recommend corrective actions. Essential Functions: Approve quality products and deliverables to key customers. Implement and maintain AS9145 APQP program with cross-functional team for assigned programs and processes. Drive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted. Provide manufacturing support and communicate with internal disciplines ensuring product compliance. Review and approve front-end customer requirements - Customer Specifications and Purchase Orders. Review and approve quality document changes - Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations. Promote and implement best practices in the assigned manufacturing area. Support in-house audits and corrective actions while helping maintain AS9100 certification. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Tech in a manufacturing setting. Skills/Abilities: An understanding of continuous improvement tools. Knowledge: Some knowledge of Problem Solving, 5S, and Mistake-Proofing. Education: BA or BS degree in Quality, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering ASQC Quality Engineer Certification a plus Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
