DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time:
Circulates to actively supervise buildings, grounds, restroom and lunch areas of the school campus for the purpose of maintaining a clean and safe learning environment.
Monitors students to uphold our school culture and leadership expectations while discouraging time outside of class, harassment, improper behavior, or property damage
Models leadership and professional and personal excellence for students.
Corrects or reports conditions hazardous to the health and safety of students, the public and staff.
Screens persons entering school grounds and reports presence of unauthorized persons to site administrator or designee.
Appropriately physically controls, apprehends, and restrains students/adults who may pose a danger to themselves or others.
Monitors passes of students leaving campus, recording and referring students who leave without appropriate authorization to the site administrator or designee.
Responds to needs of staff, students and administration in instances of student confrontation or other inappropriate behaviors that may compromise the safety of the campus.
Assists and directs campus visitors to authorized designated areas as needed.
Prepares/maintains records, incident logs and reports in order to document and retain information about activities, events of the day and major incidents.
Maintains excellent communication of how students are supported outside of class with all relevant parties including administration, teachers, other supervision staff, and parents/guardians when necessary for the purpose of consistent, wraparound support.
Directs traffic on campus to facilitate safe access during pick-up and drop-off times.
Opens/closes gates, doors, and access points to maintain security of facilities.
