DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the County Fiscal Officer 2, your duties will involve yearly review and negotiations of contracts and participation in state child welfare meetings which support the county child welfare programming and fiscal operations. Work includes supervising timely payment of all Children and Youth and Juvenile Probation placement expenses. Working closely with directors and supervisors to ensure fiscal supports programming and service delivery is essential. Teamwork is key as you will collaborate and cooperate with the Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF) to meet requirements of law, bulletins, and directives. You will have the opportunity to design new forms needed by the agency to ensure proper flow of information which affects every fiscal aspect.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or
  • Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate‘s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
  • Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor‘s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
