Director Of Clinical LeadershipPosition Summary:The Director, in addition to their regular clinical duties, is responsible for the management of their regions, Counseling programming and clinical development. The Director supervises, mentors, and coaches team members while modeling and upholding Westside's values. The Director ensures the consistent implementation and effective management of clinical policies and procedures. The Director is responsible for the clinical performance, outcomes, and productivity of the Speech team. This position will be expected to carry a small caseload and conduct evaluations as needed.Essential Functions:Supervises the implementation of counseling programs and coordinates the day-to-day operations within their region and clinicsMentors, supervises and manages up to 10 therapists in given region, providing clinical and professional supportConducts end of year performance reviews for direct reports in regionSupport all therapist within their region via mentorship and training for children on their caseloadLead monthly team meetings with each clinic's counseling teamParticipate in interclinic counseling team meetings and cross-discipline regional meetingsFacilitate collaboration between counseling and other disciplinesConduct regular 1:1 meetings and check-ins with counseling team leads individually to help maintain productivity, reduce team burn-out, and optimize team moraleLiaison between the counseling team, clinic managers and directors and is responsible to communicate any changes in procedures and discipline guidelines to his/her assigned teamEstablishes staffing needs and schedules ensuring there is adequate staffing in the clinicMonitors and ensures staff assigned to clinical programs meet the productivity requirements budgeted for respective positionsIdentifies productivity trends and collaborates with clinical leaders to problem solveStays up to date on current clinical procedures and protocolsConducts interviews of prospective candidates in their assigned regionHires, evaluates and supervises clinical staffOversees onboarding of new therapists in region, creates and manages onboarding schedule in collaboration with clinic managerConducts offboarding interviews with direct reportsEvaluates needs and recommends opportunities for business development and expansionConduct regular 1:1 meetings and check-ins with counseling team members to enhance engagement, maintain productivity, reduce team burn-out, and optimize team moraleOversees productivity and CPT code use for the counseling teamConducts end of year performance reviews for direct reports in regionPerform initial evaluations of client needsConduct observations, implement long-term and short-term interventions, and develop individualized treatment plansProvide detailed documentation and records of evaluations and treatmentsProvide support and advice to the child's parents about every angle of their care that has to do with the therapy needs of the childMaintain targeted caseload of 11-13 therapy hours per weekQualifications:Required Education, Experience and Credentials:Master's degree from a CACREP accredited universityLCPC or LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois4 years or more of direct clinical experience in disciplinePrior experience working with children and familiesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Passion for working with children with special needsCompetence with a variety of computer applicationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsPersonal Attributes:Interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative spirit and willingness to work as a teamCreative mindset for making therapy funProcess oriented with strong attention to detailWork Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessionsAbility to lift or carry 30 lbsAbility to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapyTravel Requirements:Some travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.This is a full-time position.
