Lead Professional, Global Comms Operations, Event & Project ManagementThe NIKE, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes, and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative experiences, builds brand love, enhances corporate reputation, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, creators, investors, supply chain partners, and Nike's own employees. This role reports to our Senior Director, Global Communication, Planning, Performance, and Operations and partners closely with Communications leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive high-quality project and event execution. The role ensures project leadership is supported, informed, and able to focus on strategy and storytelling, while all teammates are more connected, efficient, and empowered through better systems and operations.This is an execution-first role for someone who thrives on building structure, driving action, and bringing order to complexity in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is: a proactive planner who anticipates needs before they arise, a relationship-builder with a service mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration skills, a doer who loves structure, process, and creating order from ambiguity, a calm, confident operator who shines during fast-paced execution moments, and someone who takes pride in getting things doneright, on time, and with excellence.The ideal candidate brings: a Bachelor's degree in Media Relations, Communications, Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training, 6+ years of experience in project management, operations, or event planning within Communications, Marketing, or other creative functions, demonstrated strength in end-to-end project execution, with exceptional attention to detail, background in travel, logistics, and/or coordination of multi-day, multi-stakeholder events, experience managing meetings, workshops, and events of varying sizes and complexity, strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel, proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, budget management experience, including procurement and vendor management.You will partner closely with Communications leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to execute complex projects and events that may include multiday media experiences, global sport moments, large-scale employee gatherings, immersive investor events, and more. This role will ensure that these critical moments are thoughtfully planned, well-organized, and flawlessly executed. This includes:Project Management Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestone trackersDrive operational rigor to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with the project budgetFacilitate project meetings and manage agendas to help identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation paths; document and facilitate decisions; and drive follow-throughManage multi-million-dollar project budgets, including tracking vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement requestsDevelop and maintain project presentation materials for senior leadership, steering committees, cross-functional partners, and other stakeholdersEvent Planning Manage event logistics including space, catering, speakers, transportation, executive scheduling, media interview coordination, and moreDrive a seamless run-of-show and onsite execution to ensure a smooth participant and team experienceSupport hybrid and virtual events, including scheduling, technical coordination, and platform setupTravel & Coordination Logistics Coordinate complex domestic and international travel for event participants, team members, partners, media, spokespeople, and moreBuild travel itineraries, track movement, and ensure alignment with meeting and event schedulesSupport travel-related budget planning, approvals, and expense monitoringWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
